    A one month old boy presents with dyspnea and failure to thrive. He requires 10L NC oxygen to keep his oxygen saturation above 95%.His laboratory studies are normal. CXR and CT scan are shown below.

    correct answer: E Right upper lobectomy

    this is a case of right upper lung lobe congenital lobar Emphysema (CLE) that needs resection. Any child with a symptomatic CLE is at risk for respiratory collapse during anesthesia induction.
